RSA CONFERENCE, SAN FRANCISCO – Feb. 25, 2020Siemplify, the leading independent provider of security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR), today announced it has teamed up with McAfee to make the Siemplify Security Operations Platform available to McAfee customers directly from the highly acclaimed McAfee MVISION ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), the company’s SaaS-based flagship centralized management console.

McAfee customers will be able to experience the benefits of SOAR, breakout technology that enables security operations teams to work more effectively and efficiently by seamlessly automating and orchestrating the multitude of tools and processes required to triage, investigate and respond to cyber threats at scale.

“The McAfee suite of products is designed to help enterprises speed up threat detection and remediation, and MVISION ePO in particular allows IT and security operations personnel to enforce unified security management across our endpoint, network, data and compliance solutions, as well as third-party solutions,” said Javed Hasan, global head of enterprise products strategy and alliances at McAfee. “SOAR technology from Siemplify is a natural complement and will help McAfee organizations with SOCs to maximize the value from their McAfee investment by reacting to threats faster, seamlessly expanding their security capabilities and delivering better results through their SOC.”

Faced with a steady increase in the volume of security alerts, repetitive and tedious responsibilities, disparate detection tools not designed to work together, and a global cybersecurity talent shortage, security operations teams are constantly under pressure to do more with less. Gartner estimates that “by year-end 2022, 30% of organizations with a security team larger than five people will leverage SOAR tools in their security operations, up from less than 5% today.” (Gartner, “Market Guide for Security Orchestration, Automation and Response Solutions,” Claudio Neiva, et al, 27 June 2019).

Siemplify is a holistic workbench that allows SOCs to navigate the full scope of security operations and incident response, from initial alert through remediation, by automating workflows and orchestrating security tools from McAfee, as well as the broader security ecosystem. This includes the ability to:

  • Leverage ready-to-run use cases developed and maintained by Siemplify experts and power users.
  • Download integrations from the Siemplify Marketplace.
  • Create playbooks that automate everything from enrichment to response.
  • Manage and respond to alerts from SIEMs, as well as other detection tools.
  • Track SOC performance via customizable dashboards.

“Every day we see the extraordinary value that SOAR provides to security operations teams of all sizes, so we are incredibly excited to make our unique approach to the technology available to the McAfee user community,” said Amos Stern, CEO and co-founder of Siemplify. “We look forward to working closely with McAfee to help their customers take security operations to a new level.”
